March Is Reading Month!

Get Hooked On a Good Book! The "kick-off" is Monday and we are all going to work toward a 1200 books read in March schoolwide goal! Let's READ!!!!!!

Dr.D!

Dr.Paul Darmon,DDS came today and shared with the first graders how to care for their teeth! He read a story, played a game, and showed us the proper way to brush our teeth. We even got a "goodie" bag to bring home! SMILE!
Anyone in need of a dentist? Dr.Darmon is located on the corner of 13 Mile and Beverly!

Our STAR!

Madison is our STAR! Thanks to our recorder, we know that Madison loves to eat out at Max and Erma's, she enjoys working on the computer, and she wants to be a doctor when she grows up! Keep studying Madison, you'll be a great doctor!

We had a great party thanks to a great bunch of parents! Thanks to everyone who sent in items and to those who were able to help and celebrate with us. The kids went home with a "Lincoln" hat of their own filled with special valentines to read over and over!

101 Day of School!

Can you believe we have been in school 101 days already? Time flies...
Happy Birthday to Emma Stempien, who brought in chocolate cupcakes covered in white frosting, and then topped with chocolate chips to help with our 101 day celebration! Thanks Emma!

Plays with Mrs.Davenport

On Monday, Mrs.Davenport had the class act out different plays for each other. They all should definitely be on stage! Each play had a moral for us too. Thanks Mrs. Davenport for always teaching us how to be good thinkers and make good decisions!

Brendan's Birthday!

Brendan turned 7 and celebrated with us! We had ice cream for dessert while singing Happy Birthday...mm, mm good!

Now We Know!

Thanks to Sydney we know that Graham's favorite color is orange and he likes to play soccer. He also loves Star Wars and eating out at McDonalds! Oh, we can't forget Indiana Jones...Graham made a great Indiana Jones himself at Halloween!

MYSTERY READER!

Mrs.Stempien was our Friday Mystery Reader! She surprised us with a book that she and Emma had purchased from the book fair! She read The Great Fuzz Frenzy; it was really funny(I think we all wanted our very own copy!) She left us laughing and anticipating a treat after lunch..."fuzz" balls! Don't panic, they were really donuts! Thanks Mrs. Stempien!
