Science...Rocks

Now we are geologists! Ask us anything about rocks; if we don't know the answer, we'll try to find it out! We love rocks!

Mystery Reader

Mr. Hupp read one of Graham's favorite books about our earth and the planets...now it's one of our favorites! To help us remember there are 9 planets, we each had a treat of 9 skittles! A big thanks to Mr. Hupp!

HOMEWORK

Practice this week's wall words...don't forget to keep reviewing last week's words too!
Read to Self for 5 minutes with a "good fit" book (your child will know what this means!)
Read another 15 with someone
Have fun!

Daily Oral Language (DOL)

DOL covers different aspects of writing,i.e. sentences to edit; along with a variety of language and reading skills. Your child's DOL for the week will come home each Friday. We are certainly working hard!

Math

We read a few number stories and plan to practice on our slates tomorrow. We will also do 1.13 Homelink together in class(I'd like to help/work with them on their first story problem). A "Study Sheet" will come home Tuesday and on Wednesday will be our very first math test! Look for Homelinks to start again on Thursday!

Today Mrs. Hubert came in and read to us about music, dancing and jelly beans. She even played the flute and piccolo. What a great way to kick off our Mystery Reader series.

STINK!

Judy Moody's brother is up to something! Our class had such a great time writing letters today to Stink. We all can't wait to hear back about Stink's latest delivery. Your child will probably love to tell you all about Stink's adventures...ask them! :)
